WILLIAMSBURG 2014

I sold a painting.

I lent my paintings to decorate a common area in a new media company. When I went to retrieve them, the office manager liked looking at one of them enough to buy it. Sort of a boost when people like what you do.

THUG 2014

Oil and acrylic on wood | 17 ½" x 20 ¾" J.C. Leyendecker created these paintings in the twenties, where the edges of the image disappeared. He know what not to draw, making the things he actually drew somewhat more important. This chaotic portrait represents a man who never took no for an answer, and seldom asked any questions.

Can I Get a Press Photo? Steven Briggs needed some new photos, so he showed up with a few changes of clothing. Book Covers Made Easy Good design is about being superbly common. Every year, folks look to other people magazines to agree and dress the same. Some dude in some office somewhere decided red was happening.   With book covers, we’re designing new covers to look like successful covers, because being different doesn’t attract attention. We crave common. With that being said, let’s make nothing new.   Finding an image If our goal is to be common, you’d never need to create original assets.
